True dat. Definitely a must when learning a new language

Eh, I was referring more about learning english and the adjusting to the culture. Learning to read books took precedence over understanding tv shows. But yes, too young to know these BK commercials everyone else seems to know.

Or just an immigrant. Probably had a few other concerns than learning slogans. Although, McD’s is a bit more ubiquitous.

But I need something to do between hobbies :/
Nah, seriously, though I’m genuinely amused by the levels of responses I’ve gotten. You know what I’ve noticed? Lots of people are getting surprisingly worked up over this despite it having absolutely no value to their life or even the comment section as a whole.

Well, the initial reply was flippant since I misread his tone. I did also reply back to him saying oops for missing his pun.
Most of the other people pointing it out have been sarcastic so I’ve felt it appropriate to be flippant back at them. The baseline attitude in the comments is rude, so I know why I shouldn’t be?

Why not? Feedback could improve comment quality in future. I do kind of care enough that some of you guys took time to comment on my mistake.
Plus it’s been something of a slow week.

Where’d you get that definition? it’s not entirely right.
Also, why are you getting angry about this? There’s literally no reason you should be getting mad.

I already admitted it multiple times, firstly to the OP. I’m just giving you guys feedback.

Yeah, you’re right. I guess it’s more of an exposure thing? I’m in Ottawa and we don’t seem to get blasted as much by fast food slogans. But then again, it’s been less predominate since basically everyone I know aren’t watching cable now either

Sure, but no one seems to care that much about slogans up here. Hell, I thought the “Have it your way” was a Harvey’s slogan after people pointed out it was a slogan.

Heh, seems rude not to.
Nah, I’m just replying cuz I’m bored. Plus I like to see what people will actually come up with. So far, I’ve ignored the repetitive ones.
I appreciate your advice, but I knew what I was doing when I started replying.

37yrs in the US, I guess?
Dunno if they ever used the slogan in Canada, bud.
Oh, right, people from other countries use this too :O

It was actually quite easy since it was the first hit on google for “fun”.
I do find it funny when people tell me the wrong definitions of things though.

You sure about that? Google says they stopped in 2014. I certainly haven’t heard it recently

Geez, that’s an old commercial. Dunno when I would’ve seen it.

Oh, hey, thanks for coming in late to this bandwagon. I guess that first person to tell me I missed his joke didn’t quite do the trick, eh? Heh, I wonder how many more of you there’ll be.

You realize not all play on words are puns?

Oh, man. You’ve gotta be careful there. I almost cut myself on your sharp wit.

Actually, that was a play on words, not a pun. Not exactly that obvious to nonUS people though, was it?
