I’m going to say that GM’s decision to go with direct sales for the Hummer has more to do with gauging demand and avoiding the dealer markups that would inevitably come with allowing the dealers to sell the product. Furthermore, the Hummer is a far more upscale and unique product when compared to anything in the GMC…

The Hummer EV will be the first one to successfully launch and deliver high quality. I think Rivian will have the most on the road by the end of next year but we’ll see quality problems similar to Tesla’s first production vehicles. Cybertruck will not come out for another 18 months at least.

All the fire trucks and ambulances in my city stop for red lights and make sure all oncoming traffic stops before proceeding through the intersection.

Looks like the firetruck is coming from where the blvd ends, wider road might make the driver feel like people will see the lights. But coming from the Navigator’s direction there isnt great sight lines if you’re doing 40 or so.

Can I have a button to turn on the radio and adjust the volume?  I twist a knob on my Jeep and I can adjust the temperature.  Another knob controls the fan.  Works great.

Personally owned cars will never be engineered to last 15-20 years / 350,000 miles. There is very little demand for a car with that capability.

Like the eGolf, 500e, BEV smartcar, bolt, spark EV, soul EV, leaf, focus EV, and whatever else I am missing? All of which can be found lightly used under $20k and a new Bolt in the low 20s.
