Even GM was trying to downplay the Blackwings by also releasing teasers to their EV Superbowl commercials the same day.

GM’s EV platform isn’t a skateboard. They have a modular battery design and it is being used in unibody and body on frame platforms.

Yes. These Cadillacs have powertrains that already exist. Unless GM were to go to Porsche to use theirs, there is no manual transaxle in existence that will fit in the Corvette. It would be wildly expensive to develop a new one for such a low take-rate.

After the second Starship crash landing today:

Insurance on a newer vehicle with little to no local repair or spare parts support would probably be horrendous.

The CT5-V is supposed to have optional AWD.

The CT5-V competes with the M3. So for that price you’ll get a 650hp V8.

Kia already stole the EV1 name.

The fix: Buy a new Ultium EV.

Pretty much anything with contacting surfaces. Especially the gears in the transaxle.

GM’s van starts production later this year

There are too many brands. We do not need any more.

Wonder how the Payne Auto Group will respond to this?

Most likely is based on GM

GM has shutdown manufacturing in Thailand. That Trailblazer is a global vehicle. Not at all suitable for the US market and would require a significant re-design. Actually the initial plan was for a Colorado based GMC SUV, but that was cancelled a few years ago when GM decided to accelerate their EV plans.

The Envision starts at $32,995, and while I don’t see it saving Buick in America — probably nothing can at this point — remember that the Buick brand at this point is mainly kept around for China, where Buick sells lots of Buicks and where the Envision is made.

Love mine too

Looking forward to the silent Ford vs Chevy shootout
