Props for using “You’re So Cool” from the True Romance soundtrack, I guess.

I don’t care much about the winners, since so many far more worthy shows were not nominated.

She is consistently the best part of the dreck she appears in. Which makes her project choices all the more disappointing.

Spy is one of the funniest movies of the past 10 years (in my idiotic opinion). Not a fluke.

A radio show used to read stories from one of Novak’s books (I’m not sure which one, because apparently he has a few), and I was always floored by how bad they were. They were trying for the whole Garrison Keillor folksy fable vibe, but were not well constructed at all. So this review doesn’t surprise me.

Who on EARTH thought this would succeed? The bus ads for this, with BJ Novak’s smirking face and the message “The Anthology of NOW” are fucking embarrassing. Not to add into it BJ Novak is a known creep who will slip into any attractive woman’s DMs and try to exploit their love of the office-- he is bound to get…

I don’t think so? The Indiewire review (which is fairly brutal) specifically calls out the pacing.

Every person that sings uses pitch correction. You just don’t notice it because that’s the entire point of pitch correction. Hell, they even do it for live performances with special mikes that will correct notes as you sing. Complaining about autotune is the equivalent of those dudes who whine about makeup being a lie …

Part of the reason this looks bad is he is cranking this up to 60 FPS, which gives everything the “soap opera” effect.  I wonder how it would look at 24 FPS
