JW was shit. it suffered from the same problems like the transformer movies. there’s too many explosions going off without any payoff or concern for the characters, that you just end up bored. you had a fucking dinosaur jumping a helicopter that then crashed through a glass dome, and i was just sitting there bored…

while george lucas used CGI to just fix mistakes, fincher seems to have a very precise vision in his mind and uses CGI to achieve exactly that.

unpopular opinion: i dont get whats the big deal with the first part. its the super tropey heroes journey of “oh just believe in yourself” and “if we all work together we can overcome anything” and then it ends.. its just so generic, i just dont get what i am missing that people all love it SO MUCH.

i feel like they maybe have gotten too big as a show. they used to be the small underdog riffing on all those ‘celebrities’ around them, but with them getting bigger and more famous, maybe they would also be more of a liability for hulu.

most of michael schurs shows are also really great at this. not really parks and rec, but stuff like brooklyn 99 or good place has a really diverse cast without any of it feeling like stunt casting.
