Except that VW’s diesel cars doesn’t pollute significantly much more than other (perfectly legal) diesel cars. The only difference is that while other manufacturers optimize their engines to perform well under the exact conditions that the car is tested, VW used a cheat device to keep emissions low during testing and

Yes, please. This whole “ecoboost” PR crap is lame as fuck.

From an engineering standpoint, it’s truly an impossible task. The details of the fix aside, the solution has to be designed, created and implemented in a test vehicle. Here’s where it’s literally impossible to accomplish this task in the given time frame, the accelerated 120,000 mile/150,000 mile durability tests.

And they’ll rebadge it as.... THE BRONCO! DUN DUN DUNNNNN!!!

...not to mention the really complex shit like ignition switches or air-bags!

Indeed — and that was a good move. I’ve done a lot of complaining about rules changes in F1 over the years, so I feel like I should say something positive and note how much more I enjoy the shower of sparks from the titanium skid block than the beige dust cloud that came off the old Jabroc plank — well done, F1!

I haven't seen an ass tire.

This applies to road cars too. Everything rode so much nicer before the unnecessary monster wheel and rubber band tire fad took over.

ever not even

I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to hate the Cayman. Try all you like—it’s impossible.

id ruled my early gaming life. Their lesser remembered games were some of my favorites, including Heretic and Hexen. Despite being so young playing them, and literally scaring the bejesus out of me as I played alone in the dark in the basement, I couldn’t get enough of them. Thank you for that wonderful reminder.

Or people like me, who just bought their first Audi after having owned Chrysler vehicles for that past 15+ years.

I can attest to the fact that their car staff isn’t a bunch of accountants. It’s actually the only magazine I read for coverage of new cars, I still subscribe to Automobile (they do have some pretty pictures, otherwise not really sure why) but it’s just not the same since they fired everybody.

Actually, no, you can easilu supercede this with any GM diesel engine of the 80's

It amazes me that people who claim to know shit about cars think cylinder count has to do anything with performance vs what the car actually does. I feel bad for your micropenis since the only reason you bring up cylinder count is to compensate.

I have a Q7. Buy one.

The Q7 is arguably one of the best SUVs on the planet right now. If you like the exterior there is almost no reason to not get one. Personally I like the XC90 design better, but you wouldn’t go wrong with the Q7.

that’s not an F40 dude.

In other words, it’s a great idea!
