Interestingly, I feel this way about the Democratic Party being considered the "left" in America. In any SANE country, they'd be called center-right, but we think they're liberal because the opposition party is practically to the right of Mussolini. We need a REAL left-wing party. I am no longer content with the

Agreed. Fox News should be allowed to exist, because I don't want to start legislating opinions, but they should have to remove the word "News" from their name, under truth-in-advertising principles. News is reporting the facts. News doesn't (theoretically) have a slant. (I know it has never been perfect in this

How do you figure Hitler was socialist? I'm aware it was called the National Socialist Party, but that's just a perfect example of government doublespeak where they call it something that's the complete opposite of what it actually is. How could he have been right-wing and also socialist? Socialism is left-wing, and

Crazy, isn't it? This idea that all the major news conglomerates are somehow left-wing dominated.

I'm pretty sure that adopting a symbol in earnest that people were using to MAKE FUN OF you, and not realizing it, is irony.

This is completely right. Just look at all the vitriol directed at so-called "welfare abusers" (and I'm sure there's NO racist component to that anger, no siree!) The rich have convinced middle-class Americans that the poor are the problem, keeping the middle-class and poor at each other's throats so they can quietly

"Don’t get me wrong: I dislike those 'I don’t even own a TV!' snobs as much as the next guy"

When someone answers the question "What kind of music do you like?" with "Oh, I like everything…", this almost always translates to "I like everything that's currently in heavy rotation on the radio". Huge dealbreaker.

Wasn't the Golden Girls pretty much that trope x 4?

Someone falls hundreds of feet, but as long as they land in water, they're perfectly fine.

The Stand TV miniseries, it has to be said, looks very cheesy and dated today. It's not all bad, some of it worked, but there are parts that will make you roll your eyes.

Most movie adaptations of Stephen King stories are shit. Not all, but most.

Big hairy pussy? I remember when that used to be a thing. Kids today are fucking ridiculous. "Oh no, it has HAIR on it? I can't go near that! Gross!"

I won't downvote you, I'll just call you a stupid piece of shit who should die, or, failing that, have some empathy surgically installed.

Ah, Aberdeen. The town whose residents called Kurt homophobic names and bullied him all through his childhood. Of course, NOW they love him. And will claim they loved him all along.

I think it's only fair that the last thing he sees should be his heart still beating, breaking out of his body, and flying away, like a bat out of Hell.

Patrick Stewart, Leonard Nimoy, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr (I was honestly much more of a John and George fan, but they're still BEATLES for crying out loud), Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Ozzy Osbourne, Tom Baker, Stephen King. All of those will make me bawl like a baby.

I believe the weapons were very obviously to protect the pot plants, because of our completely fucking asinine laws that make possession of a plant illegal. If the government weren't so hell-bent on pursuing people and ruining their lives for enjoying a plant, he would not have felt the weapons were necessary.

If it weren't illegal to possess this plant for ridiculous reasons, the grenade launcher wouldn't have been necessary. Yay for the War on Drugs!

You are taking that word, "majority", too literally. Just-under-50-percent is a HUGE segment of the population to be simultaneously talking about something, and is plenty enough to be overwhelming if you're not interested. How often do you think 48.1 percent of the population is interested in ANYTHING?
