@pezeveng319: it emulsifies the cell wall in both gram negative and positive bacteria (gram negative still have peptidoglycan, just in lesser amounts and with an extra membrane around it with high liposaccharide content).

@Superfresh: according to the motorola info, yes.

@Just this guy, you know: when I was taking computer science classes (before the iPhone got big) professors regular called our applications "apps". Apps is just short for applications. Always has been. Mobile programs didn't coin a new term for it.

@Dauthi: was actually home made soap made of good old fats and NaOH that one of the p-chem professors likes to make in his spare time.

@Charliehorse: nope. Tested without washing at all, but I can try with just a water scrub/rinse next time I have spare plates lying around. Good idea.

@FaceMonster: absolutely false. Soap, being a detergent, breaks down the phospholipid bilayers of many forms of bacteria, and is obviously a great emulsifier for everything else. If it doesn't break it down, it washes it away.

@SupaYoYoMan: app = application. They are the same thing.

Can't wait. A solid mobile/tablet OS with real ports, access to a real file system (if you want it, otherwise syncing is still there for the iSycophants coming over to the dark side), and HDMI out.

@Sodathief: if it's a decent screen with good local dimming and deep blacks, the bars won't be too annoying to me.

@blowntranny: the vacuum in the space between the inner and outer surfaces of the cup is largely what is responsible for the heat retention of a thermos. Stronger vacuum = less heat transfer from the inside to the outside = stays warmer longer.

@Jason Jeong: I am going to wait and see what battery life is like with the tegra2, but I don't think this will have it. HTC has been pretty steadfast with Qualcomm for their chipsets. I would be surprised if this wasn't another snapdragon.

@Standish: yea, it's a tempting phone for sure. I just can't get into the plastic. My brother has the EVO and I spent a lot of time with it over the holidays (rooting it for him). It's a nice handset, but the plastic just kills it for me. Next to my OG Droid, it simply doesn't have the build quality. Design yes,

Really nice looking phone, if not a little familiar. I am due for an upgrade, and will have to wait and see what else is coming. 4.3" is just a hair larger than I need and I really prefer metal construction. Plastic just feels a little cheap to me, even the softouch. But, this phone will likely be on my list to

@Mikestan: yea, I am surprised it's not up there.

Wow, that is pretty screwed up.

Yay, so now the lobbyists will be able to watch CSPAN and IM their paid congressional cronies during the debates.

@Brownski: well, as much as I personally prefer the kindle over the iPad...

@Brownski: whoops, missed your second post. yea, I can see how parting with books might be tough - but keep in mind, ebooks are not an all-or-none proposition. You can have the best of both worlds. I feel like I do at least.

@Brownski: I like paper books too, but the kindle convenience is just too much to pass on. It's also a little less awkward to read in bed, which is where i do a lot of my reading(doesn't want to close on itself, and has a nifty little light on the case).
