@Totenglocke42: Oh, I didn't say that. I think what the OP was getting at is that he is very much a capitalist, but even then, supports net neutrality.

@Sprzout: there are a lot of legitimate uses for bittorrent too though. Many videogames use bittorent protocol for updates/patches as one example (including Activision/Blizzard, EA, and many others).

@Settings: yea, they had an article on Lifehacker that was linked. Basically, they feared security issues with the search, and it didn't work very well anyway.

@Totenglocke42: because a true capitalist would state that the companies should be free to do whatever they want and let consumers decide how much they approve with their dollars.

@nartlee: because all traffic going over the network is treated neutrally (equally) under net neutrality.

@RogersaurusRex: Fortunately HTC phones have been really easy to root. But I agree, sense doesn't do anything for me.

Channel-locks would have to be on my list, or maybe vice-grips. Aside from that though, seems like a pretty good (if not basic) list for the non-tinkering person. Though, if you hang anything, a level is good too.

@Java-Princess: yea, but by the time we are able to build one of these solar communication devices, we should be able to detect and alter spin state. At least, there isn't a theoretical barrier to this happening as far as I know. Can't do it now, but I am sure we will by the time we need to start worrying about

wouldn't quantum entanglement be a faster and more flexible way of communicating? Instantaneous state transfers = faster, and no need to be bound to another sun = more flexible.

@RubiksCube: exactly what I thought when I saw it.

I heard there was going to be a special 3D guest appearance by one former editor featuring a very unusual ottoman.

@satoru: except that in the linked article it states that employees who use codenames out of meetings about the codenamed product are fired.

That is ****ing awesome. Well done.

@im2fools: it's less a possessional thing, more a security thing. Had we all unlimited bandwidth and no need to worry about people abusing and/or stealing our stuff, almost nobody would take issue with wireless sharing. The problem is that bandwidth costs money, may be used for illegal purposes, and protected

Tweens around the world like, totally, like agree!

@gtbrown: yea, west nile was one I remember reading about, but there was a second one that was another mosquito-vectored disease I think. Dengue maybe? I don't know, at some point I start getting publications mixed up in my head if it's not related to a project I am involved in. lol

@Panzer23: It actually does help to be heterozygous. I can't remember exactly how much benefit it confers, but I do remember it slows the progression to some extent. It does not offer the same level of resistance though.
