I’ve never owned a Madden game, but I am 100% here just to see the “keep politics out of games” crowd’s heads explode.

Yeah I....mostly enjoyed the beta.  The tutorial is bad and there are other issues but the gameplay is fun 

Their target demo being twenty-somethings who think Rick and Morty has deep philosophical value and that Fight Club and Boondock Saints should be emulated.

I know it feels kind of shitty to see these stories and respond with “yup, the guy who seemed pretty iffy was indeed a jerk” but it is, unfortunately, not surprising to hear this news - though I feel terrible for anyone working there. I hope those leaving can do well.

I’ve heard some criticisms of the Kurosawa influence of it, where they clearly show they’ve seen the movies as they ape some shots, but not able to understand why those shots or scenes were impactful.

That said, there’s one notable thing that wasn’t included in yesterday’s update: Functional online multiplayer.

I’m a guy who though the Miami Dolphins shocking (of all people) Bill Belichik and pulling out Wildcat (basically a tweaked version of a 1940s NFL offense) for the first time and rushing for like 300+ yards was the coolest thing ever. So I agree with you.

Well this isn’t fair; apparently no one has a problem with non-meta roles in Madden, but the second I try jungling with Soraka in League of Legends and everyone freaks out!
