This year’s version of Madden has exceptionally poor reviews from both critics and players, and this post’s attitude that it is an automatic annual buy is why EA gets away with barfing out such a terrible product.

A hotdog is not a sandwich.

There are two separate arguments. One is the original games were yanked and replaced with the remasters, so the modders work is on a defunct product. The other is that stuff like bug fixing is “transformative,” so it not a simple copy that violates the law.  I am referring to the second questionable argument.

Take-Two can go fuck themselves, but “we did a better job than the remasters” is not a winning legal argument for the modders.

Yep, fits in will the all-around half-assed effort. What’s hilarious is that they decided to call these the “definitive” editions.

It’s impossible to overstate how MASSIVE the Hot Coffee controversy was at the time. It’s unbelievable that they left the code in these remasters, but understandable that Rockstar felt it had no choice but to pull the game until it is removed.

Even crazier is that they left all of the violence in these remasters.  You can murder people in these games!
