They are following the NSX rollout model, and we see how well that worked out for Acura. And wow it sure does not look promising - the proportions are wrong. Maybe the camo is playing visual tricks. I really hope Toyota doesn’t ruin this...

I like the 911T but not sure it is a better value than the GTS. Not that the extra HP is really needed, but the overall value equation seems to tilt to the GTS. But certainly there is a case to made for a very lightly optioned 911T.
I’ve driven a 991.1 GT3, and while it is a spectacular car, I don’t think I’d ever be satisfied knowing the 3 pedal 991.2 is out there. I am actually comparing a well-optioned 3 pedal 991 GTS C2. That specs out to ~$140k or so the way I’d want it and they can be had at MSRP or even under. That puts the new NSX as…
I was hoping the fact that the original Senna McLaren was powered by Honda wasn’t lost here...
Sorry baby, I had to crash that Honda....
I don’t know. I came here researching the new NSX. Actually pondering getting one, with the incentives that are out now. Given the opportunity I’d be the guy buying a GT3 manual and driving the crap out of it. Problem is, GT3 allocations are hard to find without paying significantly over MSRP. Which makes a…
Good article, thanks for sharing. But this makes me question why are Tacomas priced so high? Whether new or used - are they really that special? When you get down to it, seems like there are a lot of cheap parts and design used. Granted, they look cool, and there is a huge aftermarket, but are the trucks themselves…
I just flew a Lufthansa 747-8 Dulles to Frankfurt a couple weeks ago. Lufthansa has several in their fleet. But I have to say it looked shockinglingly small next to an A380 at Frankfurt.
What about when I am trying to hold an important Skype business meeting at 5PM EST but my Skype meeting is choked to death because Netflix has swamped my ISP? Why wouldn’t I want my ISP to be able to manage their network and the traffic on it to maximize efficiency and throughput for all users? Market forces are very…
Early 2000s Burbans could option the 3/4-ton with the 8.1L/496 ci V8. I haven’t driven one but they apparently towed very well. 455 ft-lbs I believe.
I have towed with the 5.3 / 6-speed, and actually found it to do just about as well as the 6.2 / 8-speed. The 6.2 is a faster truck, but doesn’t tow all that much better. A trick I’ve learned with the 5.3 is to feed it 89+ octane and it runs much better. That’s my point about a true 3/4-ton heavy-duty frame and…
The frame is the same whether 5.3 or 6.2. The suspension changes to mag ride on the Denalis and Escalades but otherwise they are all half-ton based trucks. The frame is only part of the equation tough. The suspension and trans make a big difference in towing capability. The 6.2 might be rated to tow 7k lbs but it…
The current Burban and Yukon XL are actually pretty light duty. The max config is a Yukon XL Denali with a 6.2 and 8 speed. While powerful it doesn’t actually haul or tow that much. The Mag suspension is also light duty. A true Dmax/Allison rig with proper heavy towing suspension would be MUCH better at towing that…
You should have seen it before they decided to make it all white.... smell the glove
The correct answer is C5 Z06. A nice one can be had for <=$15k. Very fun, very fast, very reliable and can be modded as far as your wallet and wife will allow. I know you mentioned you aren’t a big Corvette fan, but give this a shot.
I confess. I bought 2 of these new. The first was a new 92 Sundance. Base model with optional A/C if I recall. Manual trans. Its most redeeming feature, and why I bought it, was the fact that it was ridiculously cheap. Coming from an old used car that was beat to hell, this cheap new car had a working heater and…
We’re going in circles here.
That’s the rare body-off-frame model
I’ve factory ordered several cars, all American brands. It has worked well, except once where I had to plead my case to some GM execs in order to get my car built when allocations were not available (dealer said they could get it, GM told the dealer they would get an allocation, but they did not follow thru until I…
