He was delicious.

Plus, I heard he was eaten by wolves.

Her plan was basic because basic plans work. She looked BORED doing it. She knows how easy this is.

These biographical superhero movies appear to be pitched at a “foil bank robberies” level, no supervillains, presumably no aliens or multiverses? Is this all the public wants from their superheroes?

Especially funny because Shaloub isn’t Jewish IRL.

To me it was the exact opposite of coming together at the end: The first episode couldn’t have been more perfect, remaining faithful to Moore’s original vision while updating it for today’s social climate. But over the course of the series, while the individual episodes remained incredibly well-written and compelling,

Obviously, this is bad behavior. But the AV Club should do more to put it in context.

Imagine trying to apply this line of reasoning to other situations. “Oh, that’s just Lee Harvey Oswald being Lee Harvey Oswald. Nothing we can do about it!

not Owlman, languishing in prison sadly

This is frustrating to me for a couple reasons:

Reminds me of the old joke about the aspiring actress who was so dumb she fucked the writer.

Yup the show was fucking amazing! I swear 90% of the “writers” on this site never watched the shows they talk about.

As crazy just for crazy’s sake most of the episode was, I did love Firecracker facetiming during the fight and as evidence that she infiltrated a Jewish cabal she points to the cardboard cutout of Tony Shalhoub.

If it’s not on the page, it’s not on the screen.

To be perfectly “me” (and other jilted screenwriters) about it:

I think we all know there was only one truly messy part of the Watchmen tv show...

It is amazing. Of any criticism, ‘messy’ is one that doesn’t come to mind at all.

Typically, the writer and editor defer to the director. If the director wants a line rewritten or a scene re-edited, they can usually tell the writer or editor to do it. Not always (not to mention the studio and the producers have a say too), but that’s how I was taught.

I actually had to go back and check A.V. Club’s own reviews to make sure I wasn’t crazy. All A’s and A-’s. 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. Metacritic even has a “Universal Acclaim” graphic on the show page. William Hughes might have thought it was messy, but yeah, this was a weird forum for him to voice that opinion,
