Cool, fair enough.

I'll have to respectfully disagree with that assessment. They're two different words, simple as that. Just like there and their.

A man needs his hobbies. And let me know if you have any connections for a discount dead horse supply house.

Premier and premiere are two different words that get confused all the time because they sound alike and are just one letter apart. Premier means the very best ("the premier director of his day"), whereas premiere means debut performance ("we're going to the movie premiere").

I just want to thank you for correctly spelling "premier." People (including WAY too many pop-culture writers) so rarely get that right anymore.

Nah. They know how to spell the word premiere.

I think that's exactly what it is.

You wrote Console Wars? Holy hell, that's on my Amazon wish list! I didn't even recognize the name! (I now feel terribly stupid. Well, even stupider than usual. And that's pretty stupid.)

Hey, Blake. I am absolutely going to do that. Thanks for being so receptive and thoughtful about the feedback. I'll email you later today.

Fair enough, Blake. I appreciate the respectful reply. (If you'd told me to go to hell, I certainly would have understood.)

I listen to the HDTGM podcast religiously, and I really want to love the SlashFilm oral histories (because I love oral histories [take your puns where you will], especially about movies). But they're usually so sloppily written that I can't get through them. If they start proofreading them at some point, much less

True, but when her books were published, all the pertinent details were changed.

I get your point, but I really don't think any court would have an issue with CBS' position. The difference between tiny fan productions and something with a million-dollar budget (minuscule as that is in Hollywood) is substantial. The court could open a huge can of worms by backing up the filmmakers here. CBS

Cool, I understand now. I appreciate the clarification. That makes sense.

I'm not sure I understand your argument. I was referring to CBS being hit with bad P.R. for trying to block the production.

Not their characters, not their property, not their call. I know the easy take is to tear into the big, evil corporate entity, but the big, evil corporate entity can choose to allow or not allow what it likes. Is it probably bad P.R. to shut it down? Sure. But the scale of production does make a difference with these

Eh, night watch dude fell asleep on the job, risking the lives of everyone, which is exactly how it went down. Brutal way to go, but if he'd at least been awake, he could have gone a faster, less painful way (a bullet). And that would have provided an alert for his fellow officers.

Nah, I'm with KevyB. It was terrible by Justified's high standards (I remain a huge fan of the series overall) and not even great compared to TV in general. Awful plotting, storylines that meandered and were poorly resolved, Raylan becoming a supporting character on his own show at times. Love the series, but that's

Yeah, but unlike Katz, he probably understands how to use apostrophes.

I admittedly only peruse this section to see how many commenters will write 300 words of thoughtful analysis and make a point of carefully spelling Jason Mantzoukas' name only to consistently refer to "Seth Rogan."
