Highly recommend anything by J.K Jemison, she's a fab fantasy author who just happens to also be a woman of color. Her writing is excellent, she's super smart. I love her hundred thousand kingdoms books which were the first ones I read. Check her out!

If I could give this more than one star I would! So tired of a rich, privileged white woman every year getting quoted in some article as saying she’s not a feminist.

This is exactly why I don’t have any social media bull shit. And I love being free from that mess but further I can not and will not support any companies who I know take down breastfeeding pics but leave this shit up!!!

I teared up when I saw that pic!! Yay babies!!

My hair dresser says she’s heard of others with the same pain from not washing so we can’t be alone. #notallhair lol!

I have oily scalp and fine hair strands but a lot of it so it’s thick and heavy. I have to wash everyday or my scalp gets painful. I have tried very hard to at least wash every two days but the resulting headaches were unbearable. After a few years of trying to go longer between washings I finally conceded that I have

Yay for you! The more you do it the easier it gets. I nursed both of my sons and they are 18 and 8 now and both are so proud of having been nursed. :) I nursed the oldest till he was 3.5 and the youngest till just past 4. Such loving memories! But I nursed those boys in public often, really intimidating at first and I

Yep. Same here. I made a Hobbes doll for my kid, it’s his constant companion and I truly shudder to think what damage would happen psychologically to my child if we lost Hobbes. I don’t know what I was thinking making it.

I was going to say it’s just a name with a noun exactly like Destiny’s Child. But I like your explainaton better.

I need this medal IRL.

I still must need more caffiene bc I read “Spicoli” as “broccoli” and thought it would be a good trade.

High five heartbreakers! In high school I broke a boy so bad his friends had to have an intervention to tell him I would never ever love him. After they told him he was so upset he threw up. Then 15 years later I married him. Shows what his friends knew.

My son taught himself to read with our Calvin and Hobbes collection. I agree that kids would do better with reading not being limited to Easy Readers. Idk why we have this whole ridiculous reading level thing. It pigeon holes kids and keeps them dreading reading and that's so sad, they miss so much not realizing how

Agreed! My 8 year old loves The Hobbit! However I believe they are talking about Easy Reader books in this thread which are akin to Dick and Jane but the modern version and they are god awful with a few exceptions, Frog and Toad being one of the lovely exceptions.

My second child graduated from high school! And now I have 2 adult children! Not sure how I feel about that but when I look at this kid that just graduated I have hope for the future. This one is so grounded, so kind, so funny. I’m feeling pretty good as a mom right now. I'm kind of strutting around, lol! Mothering is

I’ll try and if I do, I’ll report back here. The last gps coordinates he tweeted were less than 30-45 min from my house.

Thank you, your comment made me laugh bc you are so right on! A boring night in with pizza sounds like heaven right now.

I'm sorry you've also experienced something similar. Thank you but no, we have had an intervention so to speak. She refuses help as of now.

Thank you, we have a great support system but my daughter refuses help right now.

Thank you.
