I think it’s much more sexist than that. There’s no alternate universe where Paul Walker lived and continued to star in these movies, and Germain is prompted to write an article bemoaning Mia staying home to look after the kids instead of joining up with the rest of the gang on their latest extravaganza of danger.

He’d deceased. What, exactly, are the great alternatives to the way it’s been handled? “Kill” him on-screen, and then have a big fiction funeral for the character, even though the actor who played him as been dead for a decade?

A fascinating exercise in misogyny, Germain.

>Does it make Brian look a little less than heroic that he’s home babysitting while members of his immediate family are risking their lives? Without a doubt.

I mean, part of that choice is that we booted Mia out of the series and maybe, just maybe, and I’m just spitballing here, Jordana Brewster would like to continue to have a job. Call me crazy, but it’s a weird kind of sexism that an actress should lose her job because the actor who played her fake husband died.

Damn, Adrianna Palicki kind of roasted Seth MacFarlane there. I initially thought The Orville would be a silly space show comedy but it kind of morphed into a legit sci-fi series. It's worth a watch for anyone who remotely enjoys anything Star Trek related.

Not true. People here were capable of perfectly capable of dismissing movies from great filmmakers based on little more than a trailer even in the good old days when Charlie Jane and Annalee were still around.

I mean, it’s a not a good trailer. I still expect the film to be great, but that was not a good trailer at all.

This looks (visual) terrible.

practical action effects”

Okay...how much of this was shot practically? Because, I don’t know if it is just the edit, but this looks not at all like Fury Road.

The timing/movement all looks off. There looks to be a lot of CGI Artifacts throughout. It looks not...good.

If you told me it was all filmed in front of a greenscreen, I’d kind of

Actually, it looks like Tesla is doing a color PPF wrap so that’s probably comparable to getting the protection of a PPF wrap and the color of a vinyl wrap. So, the 7.5k is not an outrageous price absent the quality issues (which is perhaps the more salient point).

I think using the JD Power average cost for vinyl wraps probably isn’t comparable to a PPF wrap. An average of 3,500 cost seems very low for a full sedan PPF wrap. I would have guessed a starting point for full sedan PPF wraps was around 5k and you go up from there. That’s not to say that the Tesla wrap isn’t

You’re digging deep there.

I’m not here to defend Tesla, but I also think this anti-Tesla trope isn’t one that’s going to build a community of people who care about the content here.

If at the end of the day Jalopnik ceases to exist, that doesn’t change my life very much.

Nothing against any of the talented writers

It’s also not true. The material is called “Lewis Newplast,” named after its creator, Mr. Lewis, and because it’s a form of plasticine that was manufactured by a company called Newclay.

I don’t think it was phoned in I just think it was a TERRIBLE mismatch of two VERY different storylines from the books infused with his typical humour (which i usually love) but DID NOT FIT here. Like, I’m a longtime Taika fanboy. Ever since I first sawr “Boy” like, 15 years ago. But I don’t know what he was thinking

Yeah I don’t see how reselling hurts Tesla.

Am I the only one here who doesn’t have a problem with this and actually thinks it’s a good thing? It seems to be a straight up consumer protection thing to make sure the people who want these trucks are able to get them at a “reasonable” price. People who buy cars only to resell them at a markup are leeches on the

Jezebel’s clownishly far-left approach is what got Trump elected once already. Did you guys take bets that you could make a Republican win again?

I sure hope you’re right, because I have zero faith in that plan.
