Someone needs to revisit the pronouns in this piece. It’s totally confusing if the article is about one person or multiple persons having a problem. She, they, their, come on...lets write something legible, ok?

So many justified reasons for the hate:

It felt like Jenkins wanted to make an ‘80s-set Wonder Woman movie that looked and felt like it had actually been made in the early ‘80s.

I thought people already agreed Aliens was better than Alien.

And that certainly sounds low without ANY OTHER CONTEXT - namely that that is well below the 10th percentile of salaries for that profession - likely below the 5th percentile. You can’t claim that an entire profession is underpaid because less than 5% of the employees make a low wage part time, and 90+ percent at least

I don’t think you know what statistics are.

The link that you included says that a year one officer for Southwest makes $98,000 a year and that by year 6 they can be making almost $270,000 a year which...is around what I said in my initial post?

Not to mention that pilots receive hourly pay - hence regional pilots making less overall. Regional = shorter

If you haven’t seen the behind the scenes for the referenced fight, go watch this. It’s a lot more practical effects and a lot less CGI than you realize.

Seriously? Workplace age discrimination is an example that very much exists. And it is not the only age based discrimination.

“[I]t’s not the fault of Marvel,” Skarsgård said. “It’s the fault of an idea about how the economical systems of the world should work. It’s all fiction. But it’s the fiction that we had for the last couple of decades, [and it] has led to this.

anti-vaccine Facebook groups have been influencing members to not seek hospital treatment for covid-19 and even instructed them to pull their sick family members out of ICU”

This argument fails on every level. Buzzwording “immoral, unfair, and greedy” is just an appeal to emotion that refuses to accept the reality of the conditions those characters were created under.

Those creators WERE paid. They were paid to write a comic book. They absorbed zero risk and were paid to do a job. Let’s just say I commission an architect (who is an artist) to design me a building. I then INVEST and RISK a large sum to make that building a reality. I then continue to invest for decades in upkeep,

Do explain how its moral to profit off of someone’s work and not provide commensurate compensation for that work? I mean surely you expect to get paid at your job or are you arguing you don’t deserve to be paid a fair wage either?

These where created as work for hire.
Marvel owns the rights and always has. thats part of work for hire, you get paid up front and you surrender all claims to the rights

How can Wendy’s be the most hated brand in a country that has no Wendy’s?

Canadian here. I can honestly say I’ve never heard anyone express anything resembling an opinion about Orange Julius. It’s just that kiosk in a mall food court that serves Orange juice or something, I guess? I can honestly say in my 38 years of life I’ve never had the urge to try Orange Julius.
