I agree about the first one, kind of left me cold. The second one however I found superb, very atmospheric and beautiful to look at as well as some genuinely exciting game play. Just my opinion though of course, but I'd say its worth a go seeing as you can pick it up for very little money these days.

Having not played the game yet I've no idea whether its actually any good or not, though I do know that I recently enjoyed Uncharted 2 very much and in no way found the game play mechanics "faulty" or "archaic" and neither did this same reviewer when he raved about it and gave it 9.5.
