Yep. Having grown up in Colorado camping and hiking all my life, that’s the one lesson I always stress to people that are new to it. I’m just glad that cat minding their own business seems to be okay. Looked like she was just chilling there doing a little grooming near the first car and ended up getting the scare of a lifetime!  He/she scoots away when they heard the oncoming car or impact.  Thank goodness.

They are simply too expensive. I’ve owned Wranglers. I had a Grand Cherokee before buying a 2020 Tacoma. I liked the Gladiator, but I could get a similarly equipped Tacoma for several thousand less. That, and the Gladiator is a full 5 inches longer than a Tacoma short-bed. It would just barely fit in a small-ish…
