I agree. Her reasons are fine, just not her approach.

Unfortunately, some people *do* get offended if you tell them they can't drag their kid everywhere they go.
I suspect that might be what happened with this post, that maybe she was being pestered and got frustrated. I don't think the line she drew for whom she isn't going to invite to her wedding, especially if it's small, is all that unreasonable. We don't know the reasons she decided to post it publicly.
Man. There has to be some point where you say enough is enough when it comes to pleasing other people. I feel really bad for her that she has so many overbearing people in her life. I hope her husband isn't one of them :(
This. Well, except for changing skin tint, that's not cool. But the rest, I'm okay with.
I think you summed this up really well. I have a problem with companies altering models so they no longer look human, but the small stuff you describe is just...stuff you DO when you want a photo to look more polished.
This is a very careful statement. They probably don't alter the shapes of people's bodies or remove wrinkles or lighten their skin, but I bet they smooth things out a little and fix their hair and remove pimples and adjust the lighting and contrast. Which I don't have a problem with, honestly. I do this to pictures…
Yeah, it kind of baffles me when people talk about photo editing like it's some huge trend that has just developed. No, there's a reason it's called "airbrushing"—because that's what people actually DID at one time.
I don't think he has enough self-awareness to be uncomfortable, even when he probably should.
Because throwing a public tantrum like an overgrown two-year-old because his date paid for his tickets and dared to open a door makes him look like a grown man? Ugh. If you told me this guy's jail time is due to sexual assault, I would not be surprised.
Whoa. Seriously? Where did he say that? I'm simultaneously fascinated and horrified.
Ugh. Yes. I have never understood what the big deal is about KISS.
Huffy and imperious seems to be his default.
Kat Dennings is almost painfully gorgeous and Dr. Ruth is, and always will be, fucking awesome. That's all I really have to say about this one.
Hyper wank device!
He's adorable :D
I think the people who say it—and truly believe it—think they did peak in high school (which, admittedly, some people actually *do*). They've been disillusioned, and instead of adjusting to reality and finding new dreams, they paint their high school years all rosy.
How the hell did that teacher think depressed kids acted, if she didn't think you qualified?
Thanks. I'm hoping my job search will be fruitful soon. We'll see!
A question for the ages.
