Yes, I agree. It seems to be targeting the men who are decent guys overall, but don't really think much about sexual assault until it hits close to home. We need them on our side.

It's all about tailoring the message to the target audience, and the target audience here is men who may not really have thought about sexual assault as much beyond a "women's issue" or are under the impression that only obvious deviants perpetuate it, rather than just average dudes hiding among the populace.

Yeah, with that kind of positioning, bending can put a lot of pressure on the jewelry. My natural waist is at my belly button, too, and that's where most of my pants end up sitting, so I know I'd be in for a world of hurt if I tried to get a piercing there.

Oh, wow. They definitely should NOT have sized down when piercing. Good piercers use a somewhat larger gauge—and often a larger circumference—than you might end up with when you change jewelry yourself for a reason...as you discovered.

Navel piercings, common and "no big deal" as they seem to a lot of people, are actually one of the locations most likely to reject or get infected. Part of it is exactly what you say, about it catching on things all the time, and sweat, etc. Part of it, too, is that not everyone is built right for it, but piercers…

It's the same way for me, ytegfredyt. In some ways, I feel the smaller guy more, and am more aware of his movement, than with a bigger guy.
