I source all my Ted Cruz info from his college roommate.

He doesn’t know the most basic foundations of our judicial system. He didn’t even know what a Daubert motion is.   I have more trial experience than this guy, and I don’t work in law.

Reading the transcripts of this interview fills me with rage as I remember the arguments I had with “independents” and “swing voters” about the importance of voting for Hilary solely to keep Trump from nominating federal and SCOTUS candidates.

“Say some words, Ted.” - Cruz’s internal dialogue about any subject.

The GOP motto is basically: “Government is broken. See, look how easily we keep breaking it.”

It’s amazing. I literally did that yesterday as a second-year lawyer, and I can’t imagine myself as remotely qualified to be a judge in small claims court, let alone an Article III federal judge.

It is so ridiculous and infuriating. Being a federal district court judge is actually a real fucking job. It’s not like serving as a an FEC commissioner where you can just work to knee-cap your own agency. There is actual work you have to do on a day-to-day basis to make the court function properly. And if you don’t

Up until now it’s been because we shouldn’t need laws like that. Because the whole advise-and-consent process is supposed to weed out dangerously underqualified candidates without consideration of partisan politics. One thing the Trump administration is showing is every crack and break in the process that has been

That’s what really gets me: these old fartknockers are so used to just being in charge with no real challenges or having to defend their positions that when this shit tornado comes along they’re weak as kittens. Even when they protest, even when they seem to momentarily grasp the full horror of this administration,

HE DOESN’T KNOW WHAT A MOTION IN LIMINE IS

All the best people.

HE’S NEVER EVEN TAKEN A DEPOSITION BY HIMSELF

How do we not have some basic qualifications that need to be met before anyone is even considered for these appointments? How is this not a thing for one of the most important jobs in our country?

I feel like they probably think they did great work in their past roles that had nothing to do with the law and everything to do with working with people in high places and probably feel that they deserve these positions (and a guaranteed lifetime salary) for being able to make important friends. I doubt they actually

Given the alarming levels of cognitive dissonance and extreme examples of the Dunning-Krueger Effect on display across the country, since last Nov or so, I’d say definitely the latter.

“The ABA’s record on judicial nominations has been highly questionable,” said Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. “It has demonstrated over past decades repeatedly partisan interests and ideological interests.”

Because it’s weirdly self righteous(per above), overcharges and certain artists who know their fan base will fall prey to paying whatever release Tidal exclusives only. It’s arrogant and it offers nothing new to music streaming. If they were innovative and brought something more to the table it’d be sad to see it go,

After that hilariously organized, self-righteous press conference where all the artists... lined up and signed something? defiantly? I don’t even know?... I can only laugh as Tidal fails.
