This is why Rockstar needs to focus on the single player and not the online shit.
This is why Rockstar needs to focus on the single player and not the online shit.
For all the time, effort, and money R* pumps into these online modes, they never feel like anything more than something bolted onto the single-player game.
“I’m absolutely sick and tired of politics right now, and Twitch is one of the places I go to escape it all.”
This is why I skip the bread and just have my local sandwich artist fling salami at my gaping maw like I’m Shamu and this Subway is the big tank at Seaworld.
But what if I came here looking for a billion words on “Games as a Service”?
Nice to see someone writing a review of the actual game. Kotaku should be taking notes.
Imagine thinking this is a serious thing people should care about.
Considering the Navy navigates vast oceans and rough seas, you’d think they’d be better at handling streams.
Can you go review flight sim now? The one kotaku published is a lie.
Seriously... what the heck is this?? There was so much great content being written about Flight Simulator before it launched and practically nothing since. It’s been almost 3 weeks since the game launched and I’ve been looking forward to an in-depth review and this is what you fart out?
The fact that this is Will's first post on kotaku in over two years, and was this bad speaks volumes about the state of the GMG sites. Even the updated article goes on and on about the damn mine.
I think you’re missing the point Riley.
Wow, this was the worst game review I have ever read. This is the total antithesis to Heather Alexander’s review of Red Dead Redemption Two.
I like the analysis of games as service and the spooky implications of the technology at play but... this ain't a review of the game, really.
Don’t do slideshow articles. they are terrible clickbaity nonsense that nobody likes
They offer a 88/12 split and have no Draconian rules on who does or does not get to use their products. Additionally, unlike Apple and Google, there are plenty of competitors in their space, Epic is just the dominant one.
I like their approach, fuck Apple and their creepy cult fanboys.
Imagine suing a brick and mortar business for refusing to distribute your product for free.
Epic games application is not an operating system. The correct analogy would be Microsoft charging Steam and Epic Games to have an application that makes money on Windows, and blocking access to users if they don't pay.
This is a lot of corporate positioning. Microsoft, Epic, Facebook, and Google are all building their case to file an anti-competitive lawsuit against Apple. I wouldn’t be shocked if Basecamp (Hey! email app) is part of it too.
