I have worked from bed, but not when I have a real choice. I do work from home but I normally work on the couch (which is bad enough), and I make sure to keep a regimented routine so I feel like I'm actually "going to work" and get in that mindset. Get up at the same time every day, shower before work, drink coffee

There are answers, and then there are good answers.

It's not just "significantly less secure". That's like saying a snail is "significantly less fast" than a Formula 1 car. And the author goes right on to tell you how to switch to WEP after saying that. WEP is literally 100% less secure than WPA. You may as well just not use any encryption at all. It's like

Some of us get that, and it's why some of us have been saying devices like this are stillborn from the start.

Infrared is not visible light, so no. Often when infrared images are "translated" into visible spectrum, they're given a red hue just for intuitive reasons, but there's no real necessity for that. Astronomers don't seem to do that as much as other groups; the IR astronomy images I can remember seeing are just

What am I pretending? The Dems just won the popular vote for the 5th time in 6 elections!

(whoosh) That's the sound of my comment going right over your head.

I guess you've never worked anywhere that does video production, which has been part of my job for the last 15 years. DVD's are still slung around all day as a quick and reliable way of transferring medium-sized files around, because there are no formatting issues to worry about, no incompatibilities to worry about,

So the idea is this is a keyboard for desktop users, I'm guessing, who presumably also have mice. So you're meant to take your hand off the mouse whenever you want to do a gesture? Or are you meant to replace your mouse with this and use a numpad as your primary pointing device?

SNL said it best. The Dems were running a black guy, during a really bad economy for 4 years, with unemployment over 8% for most of that time, and $1 trillion deficits... and they still won.

It wasn't a 50-50 tie, it was 51-48, which is pretty much how most elections go, including ones labeled "landslides". Bush-Kerry was 51-48, Bush-Gore was 48-47 (Gore actually had the 48), Clinton-Dole was 49-41, Clinton-Bush was 43-37. Anywhere from 0-6 points is pretty much the norm, anything greater than that is a

If anything, this looks even worse for the Republicans than the electoral map. It shows very clearly how blue urban areas and areas with heavy minority concentrations are. The only remaining red areas - in fact, the only really purple areas - are rural and mostly white. That may be a large area of land mass, but it

I'm wondering why you didn't include the Galaxy Note II, which is a phone Verizon/HTC specifically called out in their presentation, and which has a screen notably better than the GS3. (I believe according to the display guru you post sometimes on this here site.)

D'awwwwwww, look how cute that iPhone 5 is! It's the Cindy Brady of smartphones.

Those kind of pipes are usually very thin. I'm not sure but I would think those should be insulated if your basement gets very cold - but I still can't see how 60 degrees is going to make any difference. If you have any kind of insulation, I wouldn't really worry about it.

It's called the Macbook Pro. It's not called the "Macbook Average Consumer".

My radiators are all like this, as are all the other radiators I've ever seen in my life. (This is not my house; I just picked this photo off Google since it makes the valves very easy to see.)

The one thing about HTC is that their phones are anything but cheap and plasticky. They always seem to have some kind of fatal flaw in their computing innards, but the exterior design is better than anyone, including Apple.
