Can confirm invisibility. Driving back to Florida during college late at night near the FL/GA border and would always get passed by minivans doing at least 20 over the limit. Once was passed by 3 that must have been doing over 100 at like midnight. I saw Spongebob playing on the entertainment system. I guess they were

Those miles are insanely low. My 93' has around 180k on it right now and I’d call that average for that year of these trucks but for 10 years older?!?!?

“I bought a truck to haul stuff. Then I put these sweet stacks on it like a big rig. Now can only use the back of the bed without lighting the cargo on fire”

My price point would allow for 8 cans of Busch crammed into the cylinders of a spare small block, outside in the Michigan winter (only way it’s getting cold in the block)

Cottage cheese is a total comfort food for me. Either with salt and pepper on top or with a pineapple ring. I’ve never had a problem with the texture, and I’ve also eaten horse!

My country is the market. They sell it here and meet our demand. I’m still ashamed that my fellow countrymen’s thirst for drugs is the main source of funding for the violent cartels there.

I use to visit my companies plants in Mexico and I always felt a lot of shame that my countries drug money was fueling the violence they live with every day.

Funny, slot cars is exactly what I thought of when imagining this.

Robo-Air-Race might be way more exciting

Am I the only cynical bastard who wants to see these things crash in a spectacular way? Like making it to the top is notable but really without a driver the only thing that’s appealing is crash porn without the concern for ending human life.

The world needs jacked Gandhi.

We have snack food themed Donks

Yes?

One of the biggest barriers to the bike you describe is the HD v-twin firing order. That made sense back in the day but it shakes so much the rest of the bike needs to be thick and chunky to avoid shaking itself apart. But I’m with you. Harley seems like they have been trying to be ‘bad-ass’ for so long they forgot

A friend of mine did some calibration work on the 2nd gen and you are spot on. Much smaller than the Vue system.

Interesting. I worked on the 2 mode system GM was using in some last generation Saturn Vues in college. I just remember the 1st gen Volt system components being much more compact, like half the size of those in the Vue.

Fun fact: Those hybrid systems were joint developed by GM, Chrysler, Daimler, and BMW. The 5th or 6th version of which is what powers the Volt. Chrysler more or less shelved it until they wanted to make the Pacifica hybrid.

Add to your list the Wartburg 311 camping limousine. The classiest little ride East Germany ever made.

“If your going to do dumb or dangerous things, wear a helmet” is solid life advice in general.
