An excellent selection of episodes from what I think is the most perfect show ever created. I only discovered it last year but it’s basically taken over my entire life (I even got a tattoo of Appa, the best boy TM). The list of what makes it so special is endless, but my favourite thing is just the sheer depth and

Funny, I loved the monster design. I remember texting my brother while watching it going ugh, when are they gonna hurry up and show the monster?! And then two seconds later it appeared and I was SO stoked.

Thank you! I spent so long wondering if my dislike of her stemmed from her shitty politics, my own internalised misogyny, or whether she just actually sucks at her job. And after suffering through Marriage Story and Under the Skin I feel confident in saying, she’s just not that good.

One of my favourite movies ever. It’s so unbearably tender, I feel bruised just thinking about it. I lowkey hate Scarlett Johannson but her voice is perfect for this role, and you don’t get annoyed by her blank emotionless face (on that note, I watched Under the Skin for the first time a couple days ago and found it

Currently reading The Wonder of Birds by Jim Robbins. I’m already a total bird nerd so maybe biased, but it’s a very interesting read and I’m learning a lot. Just finished The Passion by Jeanette Winterson. I adore her but this wasn’t my favourite. Also recently read Underland by Robert Macfarlane, which like

Kenny and his sweet little shorts :( he was too pure for this dark world.

As a non-American, I am constantly baffled by the staggered voting. How the fuck is that supposed to work? Is there any legitimate reason for it in this day and age?

God I miss Heath Ledger.

Funny that this was just posted, I’ve been revisiting season two of Riverdale and it takes so much inspiration from this movie. Their homage to the big rainy fight scene in particular is sooo good. Pretty boys punching each other in a beautifully lit thunderstorm truly is the height of cinema.

I loved that book in high school. My favourite teacher had a stockpile of copies because it had gone out of print by that stage and would lend them out under threat of cruel and unusual punishment if we messed them up at all.

yeah but I’m talking about like, real people. who can appreciate camp and the majesty of Bette Midler singing I Put A Spell On You

desperately explaining to them that, no, it’s not that weird that high school student Omri Katz has not had sex just yet

that orange dress in the last set is quite cute, but still looks ill-fitting and kinda cheap. good idea, bad execution as opposed to all the others which are bad ideas executed horribly.

It’s because Li Shang is a renowned bisexual icon and they’re cowards.

I urge everyone to read Jess Hill’s absolutely incredible book, See What You Made Me Do, which not only provides crucial insight into the psychology and patterns of abuse but also how to prevent it. She includes case studies on how violent offenders can be identified and prevented from committing domestic homicide,

Yup! Everyone goes so fucking boring at the oscars. Tessa Thompson’s after party look is better than virtually every one from the ceremony.

I started gently weeping at Janet’s “oh, dip” and haven’t stopped almost two hours later. This show was such a gift.

I’m not surprised Lupita Nyong’o was snubbed, because duh, a black woman not playing a slave and/or emotional caretaker of a white person is beyond the academy’s comprehension. But damn it she deserves two oscars for Us!

Being a survivor of an ED/general harpy I usually get annoyed when people try to shut down body image discussions with “men have unrealistic body expectations too!!!” (which are enforced by men/male power fantasies but okay) - but this just disturbs me tbh. The physical demands of working in Hollywood have always been

This legit put the fear of god into me. Better start steeling myself now.
