Ever since first seeing that, I’m still blown away by it.

Or worse yet - create interfering signals which can’t be trusted, and give false position information, causing submarines to crash...
The one thing I’ve been curious - those that oppose Putin that have mysteriously dropped dead from “heart attacks”. What are they doing that makes it look like a heart attack that isn’t traceable?
Reviews on that are awesome.
Hmm, a Stealth V-22. I like that idea...
No... squirrels at least have the common sense to store nuts for winter.
Too late:
Putin’s party, United Russia, has consistently won rigged supermajoritiesin the Duma
There, fixed that for you.
One approach that comes to mind is to basically ignore them as best you can, and carry on with business as usual. Do your best to surpass them in every other way, and minimize any sort of dependency on them. For example, if Europe is currently purchasing natural gas from Russia, they could put more R&D and effort…
I see what you mean. One thing to consider is the political leaders of the countries under the sanctions. If they are downright crazy, it probably won’t have much of an effect directly on the leadership. North Korea is a good example of this. Despite some pretty heavy sanctions, Kim Jong-un is still in power and…
I’d be curious to know as well.
Treating people badly is never a good long-term strategy. Or even a good short-term strategy for that matter.
There will always be the occasional mentally disturbed person who lashes out for whatever reason. And doing what you can to prevent that is wise. But when you killing innocent people, it’s no wonder that…
I suspect they are smaller, and each warhead can target different locations within a certain radius. E.g.: as it’s coming back down, it splits apart, making it really hard to track. Depending on how high up that split happens, targets could be closer or further apart.
Just a guess, though.
If you do find the article, let me know. I’d love to read it.
As a Canadian, I’d be fine with that.
I’m surprised to not see Canada mentioned more in the article.
I’m glad you mention this. Another thing to consider is the potential for renewable energy to keep oil prices low for who knows how long. I suspect the price of natural gas will rise (as it is still used for power generation), but what happens if we slowly do more and more transportation with electric vehicles? …
Genuine question here - in order to keep a submarine that quiet, what all do they have to do? At that point are they still using screw style propellers or are they using some sort of magnetic pump that has fewer moving parts? I know they have (sound?) deadening material on the outside, but even if you were to wrap…
Could they have asked for the men back, or would that have been taboo?
I don’t doubt that!

I guess all those rich princes were actually rich after all. :P
