I guess I'm the odd man out - I actually liked Season 2 of US Top Gear more than UK Season 18.  It's the unscripted bits that make it more interesting for me.  I haven't seen any of Season 3 yet, and I've heard they have done more of the same as Top Gear UK, which saddens me.

Think of it as a poor man's very-limited slip diff.  Apparently it's done a lot (well, maybe a bit) for rock-crawling, where you really want all your wheels turning without the diff messing things up.  

Ah, I misread what you said.  I thought your dad had said that he wouldn't be willing to use a bed  extender, meaning that the sheets must be able to fit in the box with the tailgate up.  Heck, if he's fine with having the tailgate down, that's cool!

Interesting!  I wasn't even aware that there was a long bed option - I've never seen such a thing before!  Well, in that case...

But that's the kicker - having a bed big enough to take a 4x8 sheet is still going to result in a fairly sizable vehicle.
