... or you know, having a fire extinguisher handy.
Hahah! Well played.
I think the correct question should have been: Where SHOULDN'T we do some donuts?
I wonder how well the 4-matic would hold up, as opposed to just FWD.
Conclusion: Hollywood bus drivers are all blind.
Nope. I think it's a bit ridiculous. It's some half-buried cars - nothing particularly special about it, or anything else like it.
Agreed - take tons of pictures!
This, I think: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Crystal
Awesome! Good to know! I'm slowly working on my own homemade 3-axis CNC machine (for use on light materials) so milling foam should be pretty straightforward. I'm glad to know I'm not totally out to lunch on some of my crazy ideas.
True enough!
That's pretty awesome. I suppose that does pose difficulties though with the molding process - the mold would have to be designed so that either the carbon fiber piece could be removed in one piece or the mold could be taken apart to release the piece.
I'm quite curious about the carbon fiber techniques they showed there. They took a block of foam and milled it down to make the shape of the carbon fiber. The raw carbon fiber is then wrapped around the shape (and some sort of resin is added?) then the whole thing is baked in a kiln. What happens to the foam inside…
Hah, I noticed it as well. Even prosumer level stuff these days is getting pretty crazy though, unless you are needing prints big enough to cover the side of a barn.
Hah, well said!
Good point, except I don't have children.
You there, with your common sense - get out!
I'm puzzled as well. A car that wide and low, and nothing to really get airborne off of... I'm guessing two wheels on the grass, two on the pavement, and an over-correction. That, or sliding sideways and hitting a lip/ridge in the grass. Still though - sometimes I think it must take skill to get in an accident like…
I can picture the Craigslist ad:
Who is it that is doing all this meth? I'm guessing people wouldn't be making it if there wasn't demand for it.
