I'm not surprised. Between the 2001 and 2001 Civics, they changed part of the front strut mounts from plastic to metal.

And stolen a lot - especially anything Si.

My dad had a '79/'80 two door Malibu. He hated it because half the bolts on it were metric, and half were imperial. It did last quite a while (up into the 2000's, after having been handed on to my brother who eventually got rid of it after the rear end rusted away).

Nice try with the spam there...

A lot of new lights are using pulse width modulation (PWM). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulse-width_modulation

Dang. That is impressive.

I think he was making reference to the huge diesel truck driving nincumpoops that belch out black smoke any chance they can get. It's usually some jacked up 4x4 Ram diesel driven by a 'bro' trying to impress the ladies. Its guys like that that give diesel a bad name. Of course any decently tuned diesel shouldn't

Smells like spam indeed...

Remind me to never be on the same track as you.

I smell the ultimate LeMons series! Heck, they're already on a runway, which could easily be converted to a track...

I generally think Italian + old + rare = project car hell. Nice looking, but still project car hell.

I have to be honest - I've actually been preferring Top Gear USA over Top Gear UK lately. TG UK has been quite the same for the last few seasons. The more exciting episodes were less predictable - like the Florida to New Orleans road trip. Here's to hoping that they spice things up a bit for the coming season.

That bad, eh? Hmm.

Awesome. I'll have to check again to see if I can find it.

Don't forget 'plummet'. Buses don't fly off cliffs, they plummet.

What was the name of the documentary? I'm having trouble finding it (although maybe it's not on Netflix in Canada...)

I suppose you could try pulling an Imhoff, and build your own in your basement, but learning about all the electrical engineering wizardry might take a good while...

I was thinking the same thing. Can we expect a similar system in the 2023 VW GTI?

I'd rock it in prototype form, even with the missing body panels as seen in other videos.
