I've heard mercury will also do interesting things to aluminum over long periods of time.

I'd be curious to know what drivetrain modifications were made...

Those are certainly valid points. The only problem I see with that is that people want things now, not in the future. Right now the battery tech just isn't quite there. It also depends greatly on the charger - charging a car from a 120 volt/15 amp outlet is going to take ages. Even a 220 v/30 amp outlet it will

I think you pretty much nailed it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that...

America - true, but the article was talking just about California.

It's not so much how they are stored - more how they are delivered. It's pretty quick to fill a car up with hydrogen. It's not so quick to fill up a car's batteries, at least with current tech.

That sounds awesome! Imagine what a race track full of them would sound like!

I thought the usual answer was Miata?

Hahah! That's awesome. I honestly laughed at the bit with the fruit stand.

That's what happens when you have to aim for three different platforms at the same time.

I'll second that about High Stakes. It was the first racing game I owned.

But who in their right mind would name a minivan something like a Hippo or Three Toed Sloth?

I agree. Since it's basically become a reproductive organ measuring scheme, why not just call the cars by their horsepower/torque numbers? For example, I'd be driving a Civic 138/120 or something like that.

Bah, who knows. I'm probably wrong. I shouldn't be such a pessimist.

Unless a union was somehow involved, and prevented testing from being done...

I'm guessing drugs were involved. And not just caffeine.

Ran when parked.

Well, its black now. Does that count?
