I do wonder what the price up here will be. Given the fuel economy and room in the inside, it might have made my new short list.

Yeah, it was rather ironic. That being said, it was probably the worst storm of the season, she lived 60 km away, and the roads hadn't been plowed yet. She did spin out a few other times on the way home as well, and she was grateful that I was there behind her just in case something worse happened.

It's probably not an issue of production, it's a issue of meeting emissions regulations on diesels. Is the 4.4 able to meet North American emissions regulations?

That's what I was thinking as well. $44k is not "so little". Sure, the monthly lease might be low, but the overall cost is still horrendous.
