I'm guessing a meeting on a Friday afternoon, with much alcohol. Everyone just said "yes" in order to go home sooner.

Go ahead and call me strange, but I actually like it.

That's awesome.

I could picture things being worse. You haven't resorted to a system of bartering and all-out war. It could still get worse. In the words of Clarkson, "How hard can it be?"

Yeah. My friend wasn't exactly happy about that. On the plus side, it happened on a lift and not somewhere on the road.

The only time that top speed is an issue is when you're going in heavy traffic/urban areas. No one (who has any common sense) likes being a rolling chicane.

It's not the last three I'd be worried about - it'd be the first.

I finally got a hold of the pictures. Here she is:

I approve. Reminds me of this:

It's nearly getting as bad as the Mustang variants.

I expect the country would be run into the ground quite quickly, but on the plus side there'd be no speed limits, traffic cameras, or bus only lanes.

Any guesses on what the vehicle is/was in the picture? The door makes me think of a late 1980's/early 1990's Caravan, but the pile of rubble in front of it makes me think more of a 2008-ish GMC truck.

Interesting. I had no idea the Ecoboost did that well (or that the V6 Ranger was that bad). It would certainly allow for a much heavier camper on the rear, and might actually have enough room for a person to sleep in.

That's crazy.

Yes!!!

I'm really glad to see someone mention a Unimog. They might be fast, but hey, you've got 23 years to get wherever you are going, right?

That's pure awesome. I wonder how long they can go between needing servicing though?

If I had to go with a new vehicle, I was thinking the same thing - a Forester. AWD for when it gets a bit ugly, decent room in the back. Only thing I would be worried about is some stupid plastic part breaking in the middle of nowhere, 1,500 miles from the nearest parts place.

... and easily enough room to sleep in the back. Heck, it's almost big enough back there and has enough windows it's like a mobile greenhouse.

Agreed. #COTD
