The problem is when dealers try to hide costs so you are tricked into paying them. That’s the real problem. If they are upfront about everything, I don’t think it would be a problem. Trying to charge me $150 for an $8 bottle of gear lube by hiding it in a bill is pretty shitty.

However, if you’re bad at rev matching, it wears the clutch. It does increase engine wear, but by an amount so small, it doesn’t matter. 

Because it doesn’t hurt it.  My car cruises at 4k RPM on the freeway in 5th.  Don’t exceed redline and it’s fine.

I’m kind of torn.  I want certain people to know, but I’m starting to get worried about the future of racing with ICE engines.  Political pressure and busy bodies are likely to come for ICE racing before too long.  EPA is already kind of cracking down with the whole “normal cars can’t be turned into race cars” BS.
