Commercial flights?  No clapping.  If I’m with a private pilot and he greases a landing, applause for sure.

Just drive the car.  Being stranded for running out of gas is far worse than any damage you might do.  So, don’t run out of gas to strand yourself, and forget about the rest.

It’s not a leaner than stoich condition that burns holes. It’s a leaner than safe fuel. Adding fuel cools things off, and in higher performance cars, fuel is added as coolant, often at a slight loss of power.  To try and get that back, they lean the mixture close to what is called LBT, or Lean Best Torque, but that

My skeptic bone is itching... An F1 car sounds like an F1 car becuase it’s revving to 15,000 or 20,000 RPM, not because of special exhaust. Plus no details of the underside. Loudspeaker and fake sounds?

I’m tweakin’ man!

You lose the race, you lose your car!

The middle axle is taking all the weight, none left over for the rear axle to drive the truck.  In reality, and it sounds like there is a option to do so, both rear axles need to be driven to get up this incline.

I don’t know what the problem is, then. All I know is the few times I go, I get overcharged. Took my truck in for warranty work, and figured I would get a service done, all fluids, belts, etc.. I get the bill and it’s $1800, which is ~$800 more than they quoted. I look through the bill, and they are charging me $250

5th gear: What a bunch of freaking bullshit. It’s not the automakers reimbursements that need adjusting, it’s the retail price that needs adjusting. Dealers charge way unreasonable prices for their services, all while trying to figure out ways to sneak in extra charges. That’s how they tried to charge me $70 for a

Good.

I don’t think you’ve ever been in a convertible when the temps are in the 60's. 70-80MPH winds make a huge difference. Heat doesn’t need to be full chooch, but a bit of heat is welcome.

In another example of, “I must be getting old... “ I agree with you.  I also find myself thinking shows like game of thrones show nudity in a gratuitous manner, and add nothing to the show.  Now get off my lawn.

Maybe that’s what it’s been getting down to...  I thought it was in the 60's, but I like cold weather, so maybe my estimate is wrong.

Nice. Hines Drive is a decent alternate for my commute when traffic is real bad.  That’s a great drive in the NA. I think the lowest temperature wise so far was low 40's (Just bought the car a couple months a ago).  That was close to my limit with the top and windows down.  My wife decided a blanket needs to be stored

I love the top down on my miata with the heat on full blast. A couple hard runs getting on the freeway gets the heat so hot, it almost burns.  So comfy driving barefoot with the heat on, top down, and the temps are in the mid to high 60's.

Was probably an assembly error, not a design error.

It’s one of my favorites, and always fun when in the rare instance someone understands it.

It’s certainly easy to see a future where manual driving is outlawed. My only hope is that since autonomous vehicles will be growing up around manually driven vehicles, so they will know how to do so, even when most cars are autonomous. In addition, special licensing could teach manual drivers how to play nicely.

I LOVED car talk. I actually cried when Tom died. It was hard to listen to the show after that, but I miss it so much.

This photo is a highlight of my trip to Boston a few years ago.

Same.  Motorsports are my hobby, rallycross, racing, what not, but I don’t enjoy simply driving to and from work.  My hope is that when autonomous driving takes hold, there is still the option for manual driving for when I (or my descendants) get the urge.  Perhaps a stringent licensing process?
