Depends on where you live and work.  For most of us in the Metro Detroit area, public transit is not an option.

Or at least have the ability to look around.  Not busy gas station?  Meh, leave your car.  Super busy gas station?  Move it.

It’s frustrating how few attendants know how to enter the number of gallons instead of a price.  Look, I know my tank can hold no more than 13 gallons, so put that in there.  I tell them they can just put gallons, but they say they can’t, when truthfully, they just don’t know how.  Gas pump computers have been able to

That’s the future.  Autonomous driving is coming, because few people really want to be involved in the driving process.

My prediction: Less than 1% of F series buyers will buy an electric F150.

Listen fool. There is no legal precedent for declaring oneself a Llama. There IS legal precedent for signing a document declaring yourself a sub-contractor.

non-compete is completely irrelevant to contractors vs employees. It’s already established law what constitutes a sub contractor vs employee: https://www.dol.gov/whd/workers/misclassification/  And although there is not a hard rule that classifies subcontractor or employee, uber is well within their right to do so,

There are already laws governing sub contractors vs employees. A non-compete is completely irrelevant in this conversation. Since uber has no direct control over their employees, like when they work or don’t work, they can be classified as subcontractors.

That’s because Walmart and Target are totally different business models. What don’t you understand about that? If the cashiers and stockers could come and go as they pleased, and were independent, they could be sub contractors, but that doesn’t make sense for a business like Walmart or Target. Uber drivers, on the

But... did you die?  Let the man be!

That... doesn’t make any sense.  There is no law that allows you to be declared a cheetah.  There are laws governing sub contractors, though.

No, they are not employees, they are sub-contractors.  States it pretty clearly in the documentation when you sign up.

Wow.  That is an insane amount of work.  I can’t watch the whole 90 minutes, but wow is all I can say.  It’s hard to say if I would be willing to put in that much effort...  Would it be time better spent looking for a clean version of the car?  I don’t know.

I see now, thanks. That paragraph still gives me a headache.

GM has 46,000 UAW employees, Bloomberg reported based on company head counts, falling behind Ford by around 9,000 and FCA by 1,200. That’s compared to 2011, when Bloomberg reports via the Center for Automotive Research that GM had 46,000, Ford had 41,000, and FCA had 23,150.

You’re not wrong.  It’s just fancy cruise control.

no no, it’s waymo uber charges! The charges are more uber than normal charges, you see.

SO many truckers have their nose in their phones. You have to look hard to see them though, so it’s hard to catch them. I wonder how long it will be before trucks have cameras in the cab that police can look at whenever the trucker is “on-duty”.

The past few years have seen a HUGE improvement in towing features from all 3 companies.  It started with integrated brake controllers, but now is fancy mirrors, auto reversing, auto hitching, etc.  My favorite (I think it’s only on the chevy) is a view of the electrical connector telling you which circuit isn’t
