Heh, I don’t use it regularly either.  I just spend too much damn time on the internet.

Emergency braking is generally equiped with cars that have ACC with stop and go (it’s also sometimes called traffic jam assist). The beauty of the system is you set it for the speed you want to go, say 70MPH, and it will follow the car in front, even down to a stop. You never have to touch the brakes.  It does take a

It’s an emoji: eyes closed laughing.

A few do.  Most will bring you down to ~6mph and then give up.  Some will bring the car to a halt, and you either have to press the resume button or tap the throttle to get the car going again. It’s a life changer.

XD

If you ever drive a lot in stop and go traffic, I bet you’d change your tune. Adaptive cruise control with auto stop and go is a life changer.

The part that does annoy me though, is the intermediate. Either do it all for me, or let me do it all, I don’t want to share.

Things don’t happen quickly in the bulk of the auto industry. A child born today probably has a good chance of not being in a non-hybrid, but a full EV? maybe the children of the children born today.

I work at Ford, and there are quite a few.  50 at least, might be more.

Yea, it sucks pretty hard. The upside is that I get to listen to a lot of audio books...

It’s the max SOC that declines around 80,000 - 100,000 miles.  It all depends on how hard you use it, but it’s not uncommon to see 80% of max availability as you approach 100k.

My work offers free charging for electric cars. Makes it a pretty large attraction for me, given I drive ~140 miles round trip every day. However, my Fiesta is about to crest 200,000 miles with nary a repair other than basic maintenance (discounting a couple pot holes taking out the wheel bearings).

So, an electric

I hope they improved the 0 - spin - crowd metric.

It will only be dumb because you can’t afford one.

I WANT TO BE ON THIS SHOW!

yes.

I forgot to bring a hat to a company paid outing to a Detroit Tigers game. I was able to buy a normal Tigers hat, but it cost me 40 freakin doll hairs. Nice hat though.

The one key thing that will likely save that is that the security is unlikely to be left up to the OEM.  The best course of action would be a supplier that specializes in vehicle security.

Nah, I’m not worried about it. Keep in mind the modern PC has SO MANY points of potential entry for hackers and viruses that it’s a pretty daunting task to plug all the leaks. Not to mention, the biggest weak point is the meat bag between the chair and the keyboard. So, unless your car’s computer starts browsing for

I find it hard to take seriously anyone who is wearing a flat brim hat...

Depends on what’s important to you and/or how much disposable income you have.
