The final act required winged armor AND winged eyeliner.

It might be that I’m just so starved of big budget entertainment, but I enjoyed this. There is a lot to nitpick, and most of the comments have already nailed those things, but it still passed by as a generally entertaining 2 and a half hours for me. Like pretty much any big budget movie, they had no clue how to end…
Ok, so admittedly I may not have been paying the closest of attention, but what happened to all the humans? I wasn’t clear if we’re watching a movie where everyone just recently took off (Clooney radioing for someone to come back and pick up the girl seems to suggest that) or if Clooney has been on Earth by himself…
“Lin Qi - who has been working with HBO’s GOT masterminds David Benioff and D.B. Weiss...is currently hospitalized after an alleged poisoning,”
Still got nothing on Jesus skin truck baby:
I lol at their stories of the great ad-libbing on set being telling Anna Faris to repeat a line, Chicago’s Second City this is not.
Not sure how enthusiastic I am about this. The show was fun, though I definitely stopped caring about pretty much ALL the mystery elements halfway through, Cuoco’s performance and character, and the show’s stylistic energy, were able to drag me to the finish line of the season. But, yeesh, the attempt at foreshadowing…
Yeah, I’m guessing being booted from the HBO show is part of the “remedial action” (WB and HBO are both under the same parent company).
My favorite employment of the architect trope is 500 Days of Summer, when our hero finally decides to shape up and put his life together after toiling away at a go nowhere job, he thankfully has this highly specialized, competitive architecture degree to fall back on. Phew!
Netflix is also adapting the novel “Pretty Things” into a series, which is what I first thought this article was going to be about when I clicked it.
*sigh*
“ and curated episode collections in case you just want to see, for example, all of the disastrous Christmas parties.”
The robe is definitely not a complimentary look, but I think its likely a necessity due to Temura being a bit too large for the Boba Fett armor these days.
Its not a terribly tough equation either though, Danica McKellar likely just needs the money less that Brian Baumgartner. I’m sure he’s getting a healthy amount of of Office residuals. BUT, the demand for a 50 year old, overweight, bald white guy in Hollywood is going to be thin, and getting thinner the older he gets,…
When Star Wars and Batman v Superman were both in production it almost seemed like a gag, oh you guys have a press release/image/trailer? Well look at this even SHINIER and more finished image/trailer we have!
The author was apparently very concerned people wouldn’t get the DB Cooper gag.
Would have much preferred if that scene had made the list, I very much disagree with any of the action sequences getting on a list like this though, the choreography was so half -assed and lazy that the fight sequences felt like something lifted from one of the CW series, definitely not something that merits a “best…
Its not impossible, given what they did with JK Simmons, and while I know the multi-verse concept is a long existing comic book convention, it still seems particularly lazy to be like “oh hey everyone liked that animated movie...we should just do that I guess?” But I suppose now that Marvel is owned by Disney…
That was my take, and yeah, I watched the movie after this review and just came away thinking maybe I’ve aged out of indie cinema? Cause this film was kind of a bore, really just seemed like it exists just to be a showpiece for Plaza and Abbot as actors.
