If you just want to get it over with, you got to wrap your mind ahead of time around no-frill drunk & horny banging, a scenario not without (albeit meagre) worldly charm. But if you have expectations of tenderness, of being cherished, of beauty and wonder, I suspect you’re stuck waiting until you fall in love. If you

Scratch any Australian and you find Danny Zuko or Sandy Olsson underneath. They can be spectacularly conservative; it’s like they’re from the American ‘50s. That’s been my experience, anyway.

I think Harlow’s dance background has a lot to do with it.

I’m always very moved by her interviews. Despite Gaga’s outlandish outfits, marketing and performances, in interviews she seems so genuine, so real– unaffected and vulnerable.

OK. I feel safe around you.

OK, thanks for mentioning: I ended up searching a Kinja “dismiss” tutorial. Really had no clue about the feature! Haven’t personally encountered any of the kind of behavior they recommend “dismissing” on these forums, but I’ve seen it elsewhere. Maybe the “dismiss” button is why there is so little of it here.

What is the “undismiss” button? I don’t think I’ve ever seen it. Perhaps it’s not a “gray” feature?

I’m with you. Gondry’s videos frequently seem overwrought to me, in their complexity drawing the viewer away from the original artistry of the musician. When it comes to Björk’s music videos, Chris Cunningham is my favorite. His vision adds –does not distract –from the music.

As a denizen of Los Angeles, the ability to do “impressions” is what blows me away– and also intimidates me about actors. In junior high school it was called “mimicking.” It’s what future actors excelled at when they wanted to humiliate a classmate (not me, of course!).

Oh and Grace is Everything. That is all.

Looks like it may have been a coding issue? Appears to have been fixed, at least for today! Thank you for your thoughtful response– so glad you’re on this site, jinni!

The first thing I have typically done after reading an article is access all the comments – including the “grays” (not just the “approved” comments). I like to read all of it. But apparently that’s not possible anymore! The new formatting further marginalizes any commenters who have not been “approved.”

Like we say in the program, the focus is on “principles, not personalities.”

A lot of cable shows are doing this now: what I call “self-sabotaging characters.” Characters that mess up and have no one but themselves to blame for it. But the plots focus on how they learn; learn about themselves, learn how to change, learn how to grow.

The Entertainment Weekly story points out that the singing scenes in the movie—which is titled Bohemian Rhapsody, because you might as well take the obvious route—will feature a mix of Malek’s own voice and the real Freddie Mercury.

Cher may be taking in Dreamers, but she sure as hell ain’t taking any prisoners.

jinni - do you know what’s happened to the grays? I can’t seem to access them anymore. As if we weren’t already obscure enough! I seriously don’t understand why I’m still relegated to the grays. I agree with a good 90% of the politics here and when I disagree my comments are (pretty much) always intelligent and

Anyone besides me having trouble accessing the pending “gray” comments? As if we weren’t already obscure enough!
