Clever! I like the VIP idea. I more or less did the same thing, without the VIP treatment. Looks like I’ll be doing this when I eventually pick up the remake.

With the mention of interest in a 4x4, the Porsche Cayenne S might be the ticket. The 1st gen (2010 and before) have serious off-road capabilities with locking differentials, and the 2nd Gen (2011+) give up the lockers to save weight and offer better on-road performance - while still performing well enough in the dirt…
Gen 4 was around the time I lost interest in the series, and I’m not sure I touched the games after beating the Elite 4. Now that Let’s Go and Sword & Shield have revitalized my interest in competitive battling, I may give this another look.
In every game with EXP share, I simply switch my team around any time my Pokemon get overpowered. If you have to start with a “new” team after every gym, it makes it a lot more interesting. It gives me the opportunity to try out way more unique Pokemon, but EXP share lets me do so without having to grind unnecessarily…
The Rav4 is pretty basic unless you get up near $40k, and the base Carnival looks like a cheap rental car. This ain’t no Porsche, but it’s a solid step above those others in terms of driving experience and overall quality.
My family took the first step towards this by doing a secret Santa exchange recently. We now buy ONE family member a gift with a $75 spending limit. Once the first grandkids arrive (next year), we’ll likely drop the adult gift exchange and just do gifts for the kiddos.
I feel like the expectations are too high for this. The Integra of the 90's was a good, relatively sensible car with sporty aspirations based on an existing Honda platform. This looks like exactly that with the current corporate Acura face. I figured it was going to basically be the TLX with a manual transmission, and…
The ranking is based on cumulative hours played across the playerbase, not on total number of players.
Whether or not the games are more “adult”, there is plenty of high-level Pokemon competition in the online battle scene - whether it’s official VGC tournaments, Smogon online simulation, or casual battles online.
For a “free to play” multiplayer mode, I’m ok with this. If they were charging for it, it’d be a huge problem.
I’ve been a diehard Gran Turismo fan since GT1, but gradually lost interest after GT5/6. I dabbled with the Forza Motorsport games and appreciated their different take on the “gamification” of racing. But it wasn’t until I played Forza Horizon 4 that it “clicked” for me. It was pure, unfiltered fun that I haven’t…
I drove an older model while honeymooning Greece this summer, and it was delightful. Slow as hell, but it was easy to navigate through busy traffic in the cities and tight, winding roads in the coastal & mountain towns. It’s a fun little car, and would make a great “extra” vehicle if I had the garage space for it.
I’ve worked with milspec and aerospace specs for coatings (often much less critical than structural steel), and they are virtually impossible to change.
They’re all “adventure” vehicles. /s
I was just reminiscing about how much I’ve enjoyed Mass Effect LE and was thinking I’d like to replay the MGS series next. Looks like I need to try and fix my launch PS3 and play my old disc copies of MGS1-4.
Nice Lambo
I figured I’d wait for a price drop on this game before buying it, but didn’t expect it to come this quickly. I’d prefer to own it on Switch, but at $20, I won’t mind picking it up for PS4.

Curious which property she’s working on. With Wolverine and Spider-Man coming from Insomniac, and Avengers & Guardians of the Galaxy recently released, that knocks out a few possibilities. Could it be Fantastic 4 or an X-Men game? With her mentioning of pulp adventure, I’d love to see a noir detective/mystery action ga…
When my mother-in-law became a grandmother, she decided that it was time to upgrade from her Mini Cooper to something a little more car-seat friendly. I spent hours locating deals on used Mazda CX-5 in their price range (around $20k) because I knew she would appreciate the driving dynamics, reasonable size, premium…
