I feel like Nissan is the perfect definition of “good enough”.

You’re never too old to play games! This would definitely be a fun & easy way to dip your toes in.
Counterpoint: they’re my favorite feature in my VW GTI with DSG. It really depends on the car & transmission.
This is a terrible take. Most cars are boring to drive and have zero personality regardless of the transmission choice, so forcing a manual into them would serve zero purpose other than being contrary. For a commuter car, autos just make more sense — and they have gotten MUCH better in recent years. I loved driving…
Not sure what will be harder: beating Returnal, or finding a PS5 at retail...
Reporting on the realities of the world doesn’t mean they are promoting piracy. Many of us would gladly pay good money for these games! But Nintendo’s terrible emulator and poor pricing strategy are making it very hard to justify the cost.
$1,000 over the life of 200k miles is pretty cheap all things considered. Assuming you average 30mpg, that 200k miles has burned 6667 gallons of fuel. If you’re getting that at $3.00/gallon, you’ve spent $20,000 on fuel over the lifetime of the car. If you can’t afford $1,000 for maintenance but can afford 20x that on…
$15? How big is your tank?
*ahem*
I think you mean... touchdown.
I think most reservations are for personal use vehicles, and not for the commercial spec trucks.
Yeah, Tom Cruise is definitely in a league of his own when it comes to stuntwork. And I think you’re on to something about Crystal Skull - it wasn’t good enough to warrant a deep dive criticism on the action sequences (which I vaguely remember as being mostly fun the one time I watched it).
I gladly paid $60 for Mass Effect Legendary edition, which this remaster seems to mirror pretty closely in terms of gameplay & scale. I’m not sure this is very high on my wishlist, but the prospect of playing Vice City on Switch sounds pretty fun, to be honest.
Fillion is a fantastic actor and would nail the wit & charm no problem, but he’s not up for playing an acrobatic role like Nathan Drake. Holland on the other hand is an accomplished gymnast, which should help the stuntwork be more believable.
No point getting rid of a perfectly good Mazda6 for an i3 that would be a compromise (even if it’s only a small % of the time). I think the i3 makes a great case as a 2nd car in a family situation to be used for short trips and predictable commutes, where the primary gas vehicle is used by whichever family member…
The Mazda CX-5 seems like it’d be the best balance of practicality & sportiness, but they aren’t offering the greatest deals on them. I figured the GC is too big/pricey, but if there are good deals I might need to take a look at them!
This is a terrible take.
I mean, if you can find new cars in stock that you’re interested in (and can afford), they are often going for near MSRP. So maybe you’re paying 5-10% more for a new car compared to 18 months ago, versus 15-30% more for most used cars over the same timeframe.
If you’re planning to buy a car you can afford, 0% interest for any term loan is fantastic. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a 0% interest rate on a loan that long, though.
Fascinating indeed — I literally couldn’t believe the difference! I went from my 2011 GTI with 100k miles into the Passat, and was excited to see what the new VWs were like and I could not believe how low-rent the whole experience was... My 10 year old hatchback felt much more refined than the new Passat in virtually…
NEUTRAL: I drove a loaner Corolla when my wife’s Miata was in the shop after a fender-bender. It was a Good Car™ with a surprisingly nice interior for Enterprise’s rental-spec. It handled Well, the suspension was Comfortable with Good road feel, and the steering was Nice & communicative. I definitely missed the…
