I'm really surprised his family hadn't had Brendan diagnosed before this whole thing. I'm not a psychiatrist but even I can tell that there is something off about the kid's affect. A flat affect could be indicative of a number of disorders. Having a professional diagnosis and a documented disorder could have helped

The defense argued it would only take one or two people really to manipulate the few key pieces of "evidence." The rest would follow like sheep, because much like some people on this thread, they "knew" with absolute certainty he was guilty. They had tunnel vision and refused to follow-up on anything that led away
