Barsanti’s sort of like a Bizarro version of Sean O’Neal: He has no idea how sarcasm works, so he lays it on so thick and obnoxiously that you wish he’d stop and just write a straightforward news story.

Also, maybe if it’s a comedian that you don’t like, just stop writing stories about them? Lord knows there’s thousands of terrible comedians that receive no AVClub coverage at all.

I’m not sure how to tell you this, but Star Wars fans almost certainly outnumber the fans of the rest of these series, and only fans of these series are voting.

I doubt the eventual winner (whatever they choose) will be widely considered the best film of 2018. When Fishman Met Cleaning Lady certainly wasn’t.
