I’m somewhat surprised Shovel Knight didn’t make the list, maybe Owl Boy considered its successor. 

The demos made me think of Kingdom Hearts, which, while popular with many people, is not what I want from a final fantasy game. Just my opinion, but I’m afraid of a train wreck.
