I am an “old” and my simple take on politics is that whatever one party proposes, the other puts down almost as a reflex. No thought goes into it. Not worried about myself. Am worried, very much so, for my unborn great niece and nephew, my one-year old great niece, and all of their parents...

I am 60...and see the climate change just during the course of my lifetime. And the worsening of the ocean life etc...polar caps. There is no doubt in my mind.

Regular, non-rich “boomers” care, at least the ones I know. But since 2016, feel very helpless. The knowledge that generally half the US population is behind Trump takes away so much of whatever hope there ever was. At this point I see nothing to keep him from winning again.

Some of us have people we care about who are much younger than ourselves...

I fear for, and wonder at the daring of my nieces, who are either pregnant or new mothers...they are highly educated, science-minded women...but somehow have the faith (?) to bring up children...I am 30+ years older and not sure the earth will see me out...

Mine were not even tough...mostly they were foolish and ass-kissers...and the subject of jokes and eye rolls among subordinates.

Sad to say that in the forty or so years I was in the workforce (disabled now & 60) my female bosses were always the least understanding, least willing to listen to work-related issues, least interested in helping other women advance and most often my reasons for seeking new jobs. I hate thinking such conditions still…
