3 officers, March, Walsh and Gaffney, were charged with criminal conspiracy, misconduct, and obstruction, but they wisely requested a bench trial and were acquitted by the judge.  My guess is the Prosecutors knew they’d have as much success with these 4, and just recommended their firing.

I find it strange (read: sad) that knowingly lying about a material element of a case is a crime (or at least carries a heavy civil penalty) in every other facet of our legal system, except when it comes to the police.
