I had the most satisfying MMO experience in a while on Black Desert yesterday. I was questing in the third town (I forget what it is called, Velia?), and there’s a ferry that docks there every now and again. At a certain point curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to hop on.

Pressing q, I sat my character down

Hi there — there were some typos, and I’ve fixed them. And I always appreciate being told where they are if I’ve goofed. So please just let me know if you see a problem and where that problem is (my email is always at the bottom of my posts), and I’ll take care of it.

Agreed. “Anybody” can die, but by “anybody” we don’t mean anyone people like.

Only if part of your treatment of old friends involved rubbing your body parts on theirs.

Well, "The Last Spider-Man Story" could mean he retires after that. Or it's just typical comic solicitation hyperbole.

Saved me a post. But I think you can learn critical thinking skills in the liberal arts. Part of critical thinking is seeing and evaluating opposing view points and considering alternative explanations. No reason you can't develop those skills by discussing literature.

I think I have to disagree with your titular proposal. Saying "Lets stop trying to teach students critical thinking" is a horrible idea. A better ideal would be "Lets identify the skills necessary for critical thought and ensure those skills are being taught to our children." In my opinion that is the far more

This is a worthy and interesting article as a conversation starter but I have questions here...Your no. 2 says teaching critical thinking is "really" indoctrination, but that's kind of an oversimplification, isn't it? I mean, any education is indoctrination if we privilege one aspect of it over another?

I've always been impressed that they actually started with Nova as a young kid and let the character grow up rather than keeping him a perpetual youngster like Peter Parker.

Flip side: Best Lucifer in film:

No mention of Thor dressing up as a bride?

I just finished watching this episode. I am exhausted. I am an empty shell. There is no hope.

Still not okay. Not gonna be for a while, probably.

They don;t call him the Red Viper for nothing...

Every time i get a new favourite character... EVERY DAMN TIME!

You're already dead.
