That episode, I think it's called Lies my Parents Told Me, in season 7 is one of my favorites. I loved episodes where they delved into Spike's psyche. Seeing more of why he was the way he was always interested me. I would have watched an entire series devoted just to Spike. He was such a rich character.

YES! Season 5 of Angel is my favorite because Angel and Spike were so great together. I wish they'd had them interacting more earlier. All of their scenes were so delightful because they had such a great shared history. They hated each other but they always seemed to have each other's back when push came to shove.

I do the same thing. Hahaha! I love that whole time in Spike's life. Living in Giles' bathtub, it was just so funny. Some of his best comedic work during season 4.

I think the first 6 episodes of both shows are worth watching, but they are better to watch after you've already fallen for these characters.
