I only came to the comments because I assumed everyone would post their rescue pet pics. (photo credit to my incredible dog walker)

There’s one in Connecticut as well. When I lived there, I used to see people protesting outside it all the time, but I know it’s still open. How anyone could buy a dog from one of those places is absolutely beyond me.

(A little OT) I don’t disagree with you. What bugs me is when there is a clear dress code and ONE person ignores it. It seems like, at least from what we can tell from these two sort of blurry shots, people are dressed fairly casually (shirts untucked, no ties, etc) so maybe Mom in jeans was fine. My wedding wasn’t

Yes. We all have and getting to see those boots mean we’re all in the Good Place.

Keep up the good work on quitting smoking. It can be done! I smoked for almost 20 years and I do still crave them but it gets easier and easier to deny that craving.

Yes! An email went out today in my office reminding people they aren’t allowed to vape in the office. THE FUCK? You can’t smoke here and you can’t fucking vape either. Maybe you don’t give a shit about whatever the fuck they stuff in those things but I do and I’m not into it (and I say this as a former smoker who

I don’t think I’ll “win” because I’m a perma-grey and there are WAY worse, but the combination of things in this story are too good not to share.

I feel like it must come from the idea that people like to believe they would see through it, they would be behave differently, OTHER people could be duped but NOT ME.

It was awful. Every other week it was Mom, Dad, Mom, Dad, Mom, Dad, Dad. Trying to remember which house I left my tennis uniform or my homework at? Forget it

I don’t know what the law says, but my brother and I were NEVER consulted and the agreement that my parents made lasted literally until I went to college. We both hated it

Yes. I do not know this man, hell I don’t even listen to regular radio anymore, but this is my new favorite radio personality.

It’s Rhode Island. And Cranston is a very low-income area so I’m not sure they have the assets and the time for lawsuits.

I mean, sure the wedding industrial complex encourages you to do things bigger and fancier than you need to. But so does literally everything else in the world that’s advertised — the latest phone, the new car as a Christmas present, my Super Sweet 16, the trendy sneaker, etc. People are constantly being encouraged to

I know you weren’t asking me, but I’m going to chime in here, because I also always dreamed of having a big, fancy wedding (and didn’t grow up rich). I don’t know how it started, but I was OBSESSED with weddings as a very young kid. Like I would beg my mom for wedding magazines instead of sugar cereal at the grocery

Bomb threat or gun threat? It doesn’t really matter but it’s a little confusing because your headline says gun and the first tweet says bomb.

Um, perhaps where your coworker lives...I lived in the suburbs there (the entire country isn’t a jungle. They have plenty of cities and suburbs) and we neither had nor needed such things. The biggest “wildlife” issue we had was ants on our patio when the lot next door was cleared for new construction. Just because you

Yep. I didn’t do anything nearly this elaborate and both my now husband and I found it incredibly stressful, so much so that we stepped out of our rehearsal dinner for some air and both agreed having a big traditional wedding was the worst mistake of our lives. (But then, our actual wedding day was really the best day

At least it’s a house and not a 1 bedroom apartment...

What I THINK happened, based on where the bedroom was compared to the rest of the apartment, is that it was a one-bedroom in one building and they purchased the next building over and made an extra room on the roof so it would sell as a two bedroom with outdoor space.

That’s exactly what I wanted to know. Did they spin it or just pretend it wasn’t a thing? They pretended it wasn’t a thing. Just walked outside and kept walking straight to the bedroom. According to my friend, you would also have to have a coat rack (for rain coats and winter jackets to get anywhere else in the
