Interesting. I’m already using long sleeve sun shirts (and pants and a hat) so I actually just need a tiny bit of sunscreen for my hands, face, and feet but these are neat. Do you drive for a living or are you just really vigilant about the sun?

Um, I do, but I still need sunscreen for my neck, face, hands, and feet.
Really? Do you mind sharing the brand(s) you like? Because my husband and I tried two different ones the last time we were in the Caribbean and neither was great. One was so thick, it was like trying to rub clay into your skin (we looked like we were wearing full body clown makeup after trying to rub it in until our…
Oh my god, yes! Or sometimes you get no guidance at all. My rule is always err on the side of too dressy because at least no one will look at you like you’re a slob
I didn’t know this until two days ago, but apparently that’s a myth. You can yell fire inside a crowded theater all day long, so says BabyGirlsDaddy, JD
Yes, please! I love the idea of a ride share. I’ve got a car I barely use and our apartment has a lovely sofa bed. The animal rescues often rely on car relays to get dogs (I assume the same for cats) from a shelter to a foster or permanent home. Can’t we do the same? I would happily “sponsor” a woman so she can afford…
Guys, just wanted to give an update. Sent a picture to the bride, asking if it was too white and her response is: “Heavens no! it’s BEAUTIFUL. You would be beautiful in it. Just come looking fabulous.”
Yeah I love the idea of a colored slip. My best friend is pretty laid back so I’m fairly certain when I ask her, she’s just going to roll her eyes, but I think asking is the best way. Thanks.
Well, the event is a reception-only kind of deal since they already got married at city hall. She’s definitely just wearing her gown again. I think I’ll ask her just to be safe. Thanks
Yeah, it comes with a white slip. A blue slip would be a good idea. Thanks
While I like to pretend to be the queen of everything, it turns out I am not. Thanks!
Wait, can I ask a sort of OT question? I totally respect the no-white rule, BUT, my best friend is technically already married (did the courthouse thing a few weeks ago) AND when I was thinking of wearing it to another wedding, she said it was totally acceptable. But I’m paranoid that other people, like her parents,…
Thank you. If you’re in that restaurant and see her and just keep chomping on your tacos, you’re complicit. Those diners should have started the protest or at the very least they should have joined in when the protesters showed up.
Right. I have received the official offer letter via email more than once, but I did always have a phone call first. If there are only two kids that win a year, it seems easy enough to call them and/or send a real letter.
I had the same thought. I don’t have any of my husband’s really important passwords and we’ve been together for 10 years. I certainly wasn’t giving them out in high school.
As others have mentioned, there are probably people that could be considered “influencers” within your hobbies as well. If one of the people you follow recommended a new kind of embroidery thread and then you buy it, they’ve influenced you. They probably aren’t getting paid (although they could have affiliate links I…
Well, a couple of things.
I had a similar thought. Could we start a fund to help women travel to wherever the closest abortion clinic is? Because this is some bullshit.
Thank you. Sadly the photographer didn’t capture the exact moment, but here’s a shot from one second later when I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and did the damn thing alone like I wanted all along. (Also I JUST realized [two years later] my dad wore his reading glasses around his neck. Oh dad.
Yeah, I’ve spent years in therapy learning to say no to her, but there were/are some (especially wedding-related) battles that I just chose not to fight. She’s one of the few people that I’m still afraid of as an adult. My husband does not understand, but I’m pretty sure she would try to ground me if she could.
